Zero Tolerance Policy

 

 Northern Indiana USSSA/GLSP Zero Tolerance Policy

We are issuing no warnings to parents/fans. EJECTIONS ONLY. Once ejected, it will be for the weekend.
The player of the ejected is reserved to the dugout for the remainder of the event. The ejected parent/fan is ejected from the facility for the remainder of the event.

Coach ejections - Coaches that are ejected will be ejected from the game plus two more games. The player of the coach will be reserved to the dugout for the same amount of time

Parents should limit their participation to that of positive encouragement. Negative cheering and unsportsmanlike behavior toward other teams, umpires, fans, players, and/or coaches will not be allowed. Steps will be taken to achieve the right environment for everyone involved if necessary.

Parent/Fan Ejections

·       Players/Parents/Spectators: Any Cussing, bashing, berating, or belittling of an official, a staff member, a player, a coach, or other fans will result in them being removed from the complex. 

·       Excessive arguing/yelling at an official over balls/strikes and calls on the field will result in them being removed from the complex

·       If you approach an official or staff member off the field or off the property in a volatile and/or demeaning way, you will not be allowed to stay or back into the facility.

·       Any parent/fan ejected will have one minute to leave the premises or their team will forfeit the game.

·       If a parent/fan is ejected and refuses to leave in one minute will result in their team forfeiting the current game and the authorities will be called


 Coach Ejections

·       Any coach ejected will have one minute to leave the premises or their team will forfeit the game.

·       Any coach that threatens an umpire or any other staff member will be possibly suspended for a minimum of 1 year and we will contact other associations.

·       Coaches will be ejected immediately without warning if A. They use profanity B. They put their hands on an official C. The umpire feels threatened in any way. 

·       Excessive arguing/yelling at an official over balls/strikes and calls on the field will result in them being removed from the complex

·       If you approach an official or staff member off the field or off the property in a volatile and/or demeaning way, you will not be allowed to stay or back into the facility and face a 1-year suspension.

·       A coach that is ejected twice will have to sit out their next event.

·       A third ejection will warrant a possible one-year suspension from coaching USSSA.

·       Any team caught using an illegal player ( a player that is playing in another division in the same tournament) will receive a one-tournament suspension.

·       Coaches can file an appeal to be reinstated and come before the USSSA state board.
